Description
|
java version "1.3.0_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.0_01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.0_01, mixed mode)
Cannot type question mark ('?' -character) in swing text field.
Environment:
RedHat linux 7.0
Finnish keyboard settings
X11R6 4.0.1
Steps to reproduce:
-install jdk1.3.0 for linux (or 1.3.0_01)
-cd into the demo/jfc/SwingSet2 -directory in the jdk directory
-run java -jar SwingSet2.jar
-try to type "?" in the Frame title -field. It will not work.
I tried the same with blackdown JDK 1.3.0 implementation and it works correctly.
The bug makes it impossible for me to install JBuilder 4.0 Foundation as it
requires a licence key which has '?' -character.
