Problem was caused by missing fix for 7156194 in the AWT repo.

Fix had been integrated:
   http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk8/awt/jdk/rev/68be50577be8 
and should make its way to master during next week.

Meanwhile workaround for those who need to build on mac is to apply this changeset to your private forest or pull JDK repo from awt forest.
