Description
|
Currently, there is no platform independent way
of locking and unlocking files within Java.
This is a major limitation, and really needs to
be added to java.io.File, or another relevant
class ASAP.

J2SE 1.4.0 addresses file locking. Why don't you give a link
to some J2SE 1.4.0 file-locking docs here? It would be very
helpful.
Thanks.
