Description
|
It will be customer feature if you can provide class
lightwaight Window - similar as you have for
Component and Container.
In this case it will be possible to create our
own shaped frames or dialogs(like for exemple
Norton Crash Guard)
It can help also to have control over desctop
to create our own version of drag_and_drop process

Richard,
This doesn't sound like anything we'll ever do (a lightweight window is a contradiction in terms), but somewhere there is an RFE for the ability to create non-rectangular windows (though this has nothing to do with a window being lightweight).

This is a dupilcate of non-decorated frames..4038769

it is necessary to provide a way to create arbitrarily-
shaped top-level containers so we can create GUIs like
Windows Media Player, skins etc. A frame constructor with
a shape arg will be a nice thing, I guess. Transparent top-
level containers are a roundabout way anyway. Imagine, a
colleague was telling me java is child's play becos u
cannot create something like Windows Media Player with it.
And it's true. If it continues like this, I will
definitely quit Java. Please, do something!!
PLEASE NOTE: JDK6 is formerly known as Project Mustang
