Description
|
Please refer to the bug 4350294. There are several bugs in computation of the repository Id, which causes the serialization protocol to break if the customer evolves.
We also need to put in place ORB versioning mechanism in order to enable interoperability with the JDK 1.3 ORB that has wrong Repository Ids.

Evaluation
|
The following fixes are required:
(a). The repository Ids need to be computed according to the 99-10-7.pdf, chapter 10.
(b). We need to add ORB versioning to enable interoperation with sun legacy ORBs, e.g. JDK 1.3, that has already been shipped with the wrong repository Ids.
