Description
|
Right now the WebStart installer is packaged inside the JRE installer. This adds several hundred k to the download. When bundled with the JRE WebStart shouldn't require its own installer. It should instead just piggyback off the JRE's installer.

Evaluation

Spoke with Dave about this; we will target a fix for Tiger. The Nullsoft
installer overhead is about 120k for the international bundle, and 70k for the
U.S. bundle. We will lower the priority and commit to fix for Tiger.

We are going to target this for Mantis, see 4718282.
