MIF Doclet 1.2 Beta 1 runs only on J2SE versions 1.2.2 to 1.3.x. 

Need to implement the new method position()in Doc and Tag (see 4192783).  
(The SourcePosition class enables the complete decomposing and recomposing 
of source files.)

There may be other needed changes.

JINI's deadline:
The immediate need is to get it running with 1.4, so that we can
perform enough experiments to figure out if there's anything
else we might need. Our hard deadline is likely to be late this
year, but we need to make a decision in the next couple months
as to whether we go the javadoc-as-spec route with the MIF doclet
as the tool or go the Frame-doc-as-spec route instead.
