Description
|
The headless linux putback causes Java plugin error on Linux
with Netscape 4.61. Netscape fails to load the plugin and
displays an error message box.
If these changes are backed out, the plugin works okay.
The failure can be reproduced with the steps to reproduce
from the bug description for 4617028.

Evaluation
|
Because this bug applies to Hopper, not Merlin, I have to downgrade the
priority to 4. However, we will need to fix it for Hopper.
awt_LoadLibrary.c needed to be modified so that it would always use motif version 2.1 on linux. Right now this problem only exists in the AWT-Hopper workspace, but it should be fixed and verified before we integrate with the hopper master.

This bug is only introduced by the fix to 4627328, which has been backed out. Consequently, this is no longer reproducible.
