Their range is between 0x8c40 and 0x8cdc. please open the attached 'hkscs-116.data' in zh_HK locale with jedit. gedit works well.
To reproduce in build8 or 8b,
* change the /etc/X11/gdm/locale.alias to uncomment the entry for zh_HK.big5hkscs.
* install the attached freetype2 rpm pacakge
* copy the attached BIG5HKSCS.so into /usr/lib/gconv
* run 'fc-cache -f .' under /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype
* login out and login into the zh_HK locale
* use jedit to open the attached file

where is 'hkscs-116.data'?

It has nothing to do with "display" the problem is in converter. Java does
not support hkscs2001 till 1.5.0 (4750497). JDS team needs to escalate
to get 4750497 backport to 1.4.2_05 (at least the bmp characters)
