Description
|
We have had several requests from customers for us to simplify our autodownload/install process for users.
We may need to lessen the amount of dialogs. We currently have a CUSTOM variable in our msi that reduces the installer down to 2 dialogs: "license" and "complete". We may need to get rid of the "complete" dialog for simplification.
We should have a meeting with EU team to discuss further.

One big issue with the JRE install is that it doesn't retain Java 3D when an end user updates to a new JRE. Another problem is that it is very difficult for the user to find the proper webpage and the proper link for downloading the desired JRE (we can't even point our users to a final "download this" page / link!).
PLEASE NOTE: JDK6 is formerly known as Project Mustang
