Description
|
JAX-WS 2.1 RI brings in re-architected JAXWS RI that brings in better performance, extensions, better tools etc. IOW, JAX-WS 2.0 RI in JDK 6 is weaker than JAXWS 2.1 RI. Customers and the developer community prefers JAXWS 2.1 RI.
The only way JAXWS 2.1 RI can be used on top of JDK 6 is by using the endorsed mechanism. Which is hard and quite inconvenient.
Such as for ant users they need to set ANT_OPTS system property for them to use JAXWS/JAXB 2.1 tools.
considering the users and customer's feedback JAXWS 2.1 RI should be integrated in to JDK 6.
