Description
|
Changes requested to add ability to access OpenOffice.org download from Java AutoUpdate dialog. These changes include:
1. Text that appears within the update dialog itself
2. Text that appears within a Windows taskbar bubble
3. A new URL for the More Information link on the AutoUpdate dialog
4. A new web page that will launch when the user clicks the More Information link.
Note that all of these changes are to server file(s) that are not resident in the user's installed JRE.

Evaluation

The Web team will handle items #3 and #4.
3. A new URL for the More Information link on the AutoUpdate dialog
4. A new web page that will launch when the user clicks the More Information link.
We will create a vanity url which can be used going forward for the link that appears in auto-update dialogue (ie the 'More Information' link).
it will be something like
java.com/autoupdatelink/ --> redirect to a web page on java.com
Items #1 and #2 need to be handled by the engineering team that handles the auto-update dialogue and the task bar 'bubble'

made all code chnages required for this and also the code to make the system tray icon displayed clearer and code to support different sections for each locale in the xml file. And also added all the required fields to the xml file in the workspace, including simplified sections for each locale.
