Description
When java is disable from Java control panel (as the current user), launching javaws http;//test.jnlp form the command line gives different incorrect and unrelated error messages on Linux

*** Tested Configuration
- x64 OEL 6
- x64 Ubuntu 12.04
- 64-bir jre 8 pit build (#493)

*** Steps to reproduce:

On x64 Linux machine
0) Clean up deployment.properties on the test system
1) Install jre 8- pit (#493) from this location
http://rehudson.us.oracle.com:8080/hudson/job/jdk8_deploy-1-prebuild/ws/bundles/linux-x64/b255-2012-11-13_493/
2) Invoke the java control panel and disable Java from the "Security' tab
3) Save option and exit java control panel
4) From the installed jre/bin location in step#1, invoke javaws http://bugster.sfbay.sun.com

- On x64 OEL 6: there is a message "Illegal insruction"
- On x64 Ubuntu 12.04: there is a message "Disabling Java as it is too old and likely to be insecure. To reenable use jcontrol utilitySegmentation fault (core dumped)"

if you see the above messages, the issue is reproducible

Is there any machine I can use to investigate it? Thanks.

The problem isn't reproducible to me so far. Could you please attach a screenshot to demonstrate the problem?
"Segmentation fault (core dumped)" - is it a part of the text from the message box? If possible, could you please provide access to the machine where the problem is reproducible.
